About The Book

A Whitetail Christmas is a fun, engaging, sweet children’s story that tells the tale of one Christmas Eve when Santa finds himself stranded because his regular group of reindeer are ill, and therefore are unable to pull his sleigh. After a variety of other animals offer to help Santa, including skunks and snakes, Santa is thrilled to accept the help of a group of Texas Whitetail Deer. They successfully deliver all the presents, and Christmas is a success.

About Us

Sylvia Gleaton is a retired dentist who calls Arlington, Texas home. She and her husband, Curtis, also enjoy spending part of their time at the family ranch in Menard County, Texas. The inspiration for this book came from the animals that are native to that area in Texas and can often be seen from their ranch house windows. Each of the animals has a distinct characteristic that she mentions in this book. The majestic Texas Whitetail Deer are among her favorites. Sylvia and Curtis have five adult children, four daughters-in-law, and ten grandchildren.
